We are looking for a Network Assistant to maintain a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network. The ideal candidate will be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation.

Skills required:

• Degree in computer science, IT or similar field
• 2+ years’ experience in a network assistant role
• Prior experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 preferred
• Prior experience with Cisco switches and routers preferred
• Excellent communication skills required
• Ability to multitask
• Good attention to detail
• Brilliant analytical and problem solving ability
• Exceptional team working skills
• Outstanding organisational skills

Responsibilities

• Setting up and configuring computer networks and systems
• Recognizing and fixing any issues that arise within the computer systems and networks.
• Having meetings with clients to lay down system requirements and designing solutions.
• Assembling new systems
• Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading ones that have become old
• Figuring out how the performance of computer networks and systems can be improved
• Work with IT support staff
