Skills required:

• Degree in computer science, IT or similar field
• Relevant experience of 2-3 years as a Data center assistant or similar
• Thorough knowledge of data center environments, servers and network equipment
• Good trouble shooting skills to provide IT support and resolve errors
• Broad knowledge of setting up, monitoring and maintaining data center equipment
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good technical writing skills needed to document network processes
• Great communication skills

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance and repair on servers and network equipment
• Provide technical support to staff and customers
• Protect company data through prevention of overheating of data center apparatuses.
• Run hardware diagnostics and replace declining parts in well-timed manner
• Observe network processes to ensure effortless flow of data across the network
• Work with software and network engineering teams on cyber security and network efficiency
• Record processes and keep event logs
